ISG technology has demonstrated its commitment to a green and stable agenda. The company ensures the operation of its business and the projects on which they are involved are as high an environmental standard as possible. This environmental commitment is demonstrated by ISG technology formally achieving the ISO 140001 Environmental Management accreditation, following a successful audit by ISG’s external certification body, SGS United Kingdom Ltd.
An Environmental Performance Report for the company has also been produced covering the period from September 2008 to August 2009. The highlights of this report are as follows:
Energy Use
The carbon footprint from energy use in the company’s six offices is estimated to be 217 tonnes of CO2. The split between the use of fossil fuels, i.e. gas, indirect emissions and electricity is 120 tonnes of CO2 and 97 tonnes of CO2 respectively.
Business Travel
The total footprint arising from business travel is 683 tonnes. The split in categories is as follows:
- Company owned vehicles – vans 507 tonnes
- Company owned vehicles – cars 43 tonnes
- Private vehicles used on business 125 tonnes
This is the first year ISG technology has put together an environmental performance of the company and it will be used as a benchmark for future environmental performance.
