ISG technology was chosen to design, install and supply the entire network cabling throughout SPIE UK’s large head office space to serve all business communication needs and provide SPIE UK with an infrastructure that will harness further business growth. In total, ISG technology’s engineers successfully supplied and installed 430 Cat6 data outlets on new 24-way patch panels, 1U management panels at the user’s end, all in the agreed timeframe of one month.
In addition to the cabling project, the engineers also provided complementary services of patching the outlets within the communications room and assisted with unpacking and assembling the IT and Telephone equipment for SPIE UK’s employees.
SPIE UK is part of the SPIE Group, which are European leaders in electrical and mechanical engineering and HVAC services, energy and communication systems. The Company provides multi-technical and support services from initial mechanical and electrical design, through installation, testing and commissioning to long-term maintenance and facilities management.
SPIE UK’s office expansion comes as no surprise considering the acquisition the company made earlier in 2012 of Garside & Laycock to strengthen its position in the UK market. The company has recently invested in a new technically advanced head office in London.
